Disney World Checklist

You should include your wallet and pocket essentials, comfortable clothing, backpacks, a water bottle and more in your Disney World checklist.

Wallet & Pocket Essentials

Your wallet must contain your credit and debit cards, your IDs, and any kind of special tickets you can use in the parks, such as gift cards (if you have any). Keep in your pocket phones, names and addresses of your booked destinations, and also a copy of a written itinerary, which will make it far easier to stroll around. Finally, and just in case it isn’t obvious, bring along some cash too!

Comfortable Clothing

This is usually one of the top recommendations on every Disney World Packing List: bring comfortable shoes, shirts, pants and so on! You’ll spend most of your day outside, walking, waiting in the lines to ride the attractions, visiting different parks… So only bring comfortable clothes that will allow you to resist the long days outside!

Backpacks

Always carry around a backpack (or daypack) while you’re out. They will come in handy sooner or later, storing your tickets, water bottles, snacks, phones, maps, etc., and save you from renting storage lockers. As with comfortable clothing, make sure to get a comfortable, lightweight backpack. You can even bring a backpack to store all of the souvenirs that you’ll want to bring home with you.

Water Bottle

Walt Disney World is located in sunny Florida, so expect to get thirsty sooner or later! This is why you must always bring along any kind of drinks, but try to avoid buying expensive bottled water they sell in the parks. Pack a refillable water bottle in your backpack and fill it in any of the restaurants. You’ll have something to drink throughout the day, while also saving money on food and drinks.

Rain Jackets/Ponchos

As we said, Disney World is located in sunny Florida, but sometimes it can become the rainy Florida! This is why you must bring spare ponchos and rain jackets in your backpack while you’re out. You can purchase them inside the parks, but they cost around $9 — $10 each, so we recommend you to purchase them before you fly to Orlando!

Phone Charger

It goes without saying that you’ll use your cellphone a lot in Disney! Whenever you’re not taking photos or selfies in any of the attractions, you’ll be using it to communicate with your companions, use park maps and apps, call for help, etc., so be prepared when your battery runs out! Bring along a charger when the inevitable happens!

Night Outfits

You have your daily, comfortable, ready-to-go clothing? Nice! Now, don’t forget to bring some nice outfits for the fine-dining reservations and the nighttime entertainment! This is vital if you’re a night owl, so pack some classy dresses if you plan to go out for the nocturnal events!

Extra Bags

Extra bags tend to be overlooked in every Disney packing list, which is a big mistake. If you bring several large Ziploc or trash bags with you, they will keep your electronics and wallets safe during the water rides. Also, if you were surprised by the rain or got too much trash in your hands, you can safely deposit them in your bags.

Sun Protection

Protect your eyes and skin from Orlando’s warm sunshine with a good pair of sunglasses, sunscreen and hats. These are key items you cannot forget, or else, the weather may affect negatively your Disney experience!

Snacks

Finally, bring along some snacks to cut down on food spending. Again, try to pack them before your journey to Florida, as Disney’s snacks aren’t cheap either. It’s preferable to bring some more affordable ones beforehand!

Can you bring bottled water into Disney World?

Yes, you can. However, they don’t allow alcoholic beverages nor glass containers. If you need water, juice or any other kind of food, be sure to bring them in any kind of plastic container.

What should I wear to Disney?

Always keep the weather at the top of your mind and dress accordingly. Wear simple clothing that you won’t worry about, wearing sun protection accessories, and keeping lifesavers on your lightweight backpack, such as ponchos and umbrellas. Also, keep in mind some rides; for example, wear things you won’t mind soaking in the water rides!

Bottom Line

Whenever you’re preparing your Disney World checklist during your Disney World prep, keep in mind the things we just listed! In summary, you just need items that keep you comfortable during your long walks and that allow you to stay worry-free on your whole trip. What’s important is that you can enjoy Disney without hassles, so even if they’re not the exact items, make sure to enjoy your trip whilst remembering the things we just numbered. Now you know what to bring to Disney World Parks and how to prepare for Disney World, so it’s time for the vacations of your lifetime!
